teacher, checking answers and discussing methods. Stephen noticed that
I had been awarded a good mark for a question that had been answered
incorrectly, which of course, I kept quiet about.
To my horror, my best friend raised his hand and the teacher consequently
removed the awarded mark, dropping my score below what I needed to
get the desired overall position.
It was the knife through the heart. I wouldn’t be able to get into the
university course I wanted just because my ‘best friend’ couldn’t keep
his mouth shut. I was upset for a long time, but friendship is a strong
commodity.
Thank you, Stephen. As we now know, there is a lot more to life than
passing high school exams.
