The verbs in italics in the above sentences are causative verbs. A

causative verb is de¿ned as a word, typically a verb, which has the meaning
of someone causing someone to do something. They are make, get and have.
Some other verbs that are used as causative verbs are: allow, help, keep, let,
force, etc.
