Severe Clinical Manifestations
3. Respiratory rate up to 40/minute & pursed lip breathing
• Tachypnoea
• The patient tries to get more oxygen from the air causing the
patient to breathe faster and shallower, using accessory muscles
and breathing through the mouth (pursed lips).
• This condition will cause hyperventilation to occur.
