8. Synovial fluid supplements:
• exercise or physiotherapy do not provide adequate relief of
symptoms, a synovial fluid supplement may be injected into
the joint.
• Synovial fluid is a clear, sticky, viscous solution that
lubricates, protects and supports joints.
➢In osteoarthritis this fluid does not function effectively.
➢Synovial fluid supplements can reduce joint cartilage
damage and delay the need for joint replacement
surgery.
