CHEST TUBE LOCATION
A small tourniquet is made in the
muscular layer in the pleural parietal
space after the administration of
anaesthesia injection.
Chest tube will be inserted into the
pleural space (through the
intercostal space)
➢between ribs 2 - 4 to expel air.
➢between ribs 8 - 10 to remove
fluid / blood.
