CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS OF PNEUMONIA
1. Onset - immediately with ‘general malaise’, weakness/fatigue,
dizziness, body aches.
2. Fever 38.5- 40.5 C with rigor- inflammatory attack in the lungs.
3. Tachypnoea 25-45 /min and accessory muscle use (fast and
shallow breathing)-the cause of the accumulation of secretions
in the lungs that prevents the lungs from fully expanding.
