Surgical Treatment
• > 3 years
• will have developed a short leg, lumbar lordosis & Trendelenburg gait
• may be a coincidental finding
• Plan = open reduction & femoral shortening (subtrochanteric) plus
acetabuloplasty.
• Total Hip Replacement in an unreduced DDH is difficult & the results
are not good.
