MAKING KANSAS WORK
BETTER FOR FAMILIES
OUR COVID RESPONSE
The global pandemic only intensified Kansas Appleseed efforts to help
Kansas families access resources. Food security and housing were priorities
and staff worked tirelessly to stay informed of federal and state assistance
programs, to coordinate efforts with other advocacy organizations across
the state, and to help families navigate those programs. Kansas Appleseed
offered regular webinars to the public and found professionals also needed
help understanding and applying for assistance. More than 1,000 Kansans
attended Kansas Appleseed programs in the last year.
