b. Consular invoice
• A document required by some foreign countries, showing
shipment information such as consignor, consignee, and
value description, etc.
• Main purpose is to provide a complete & detailed description
of the goods to the foreign customs authority.
• To ensure that the correct import duty is levied on the goods.
• a consular invoice can be obtained through a consular
representative of the country you are shipping to.
• Certified by a consular official of the importing country
stationed in the foreign country
• it is used by the country's customs officials to verify the
value, quantity and nature of the shipment.
• Documents prepared by the exporter
