Khulisani Day Care Centre
Khulisani Day Care Centre was founded in 2009
after lengthy and extensive consultations among
community members regarding the rights of
their children whilst some are working and other
are looking for job opportunities in East London
and Mdantsane.
It is a registered non-profit organisation with the
Social Welfare Department and with the Buffalo
City Health Department - Reg no: 079/123.
The organisation has policies that support its
sustainability.
There is a recruitment policy for staff which
makes provision for the recruitment of
volunteers.
As an organisation that is growing, it is
sometimes difficult to pay salaries and the use of
volunteers has become a viable option. Financial
policies will be audited every year.
It is run by the principal (owner) and 3 volunteers
and they are accountable to the executive
committee which includes community members.
