prophets, and with all who keep the words of this
scroll - Worship God!”
Again it is demonstrated how the
appearances of angels are usually brief and formal
as in the case of my mysterious visitor. These
appearances also demonstrate that angels
encourage closeness in our relationship with the
Lord rather than attracting attention to
themselves.
As I have said, no angel of God will accept
worship and this is most important in discerning
true and false angels and angel worship. "I John
am the one who heard and saw these things. And
when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to
worship at the feet of the angel who had been
showing them to me. But he said to me, "Don't do
that! I am a fellow servant with you, with your
fellow prophets, and with all who keep the words
of this scroll - Worship God!" (Revelation 22:8-9).
You might notice the term “Don’t do that! I
am a fellow servant with you” as John knelt to
worship the angel. This was a sharp but loving
rebuke and a correction. Note the term “fellow
servant.” This clearly indicated that the angel did
not see himself more important than John and
demands worship to God. No demon like its
master Satan will ever say such a thing for it
desires worship in place of God.
All of God’s angels know that we will
judge them. Until we enter the fullness of our
