 HUM  Humanities  Course numbers ending with the number one (as ENG 101) indicate the course is ordinarily
    IDS         Interdisciplinary Studies  to be considered as the first part of a continuation course consisting of two semesters’ worth
    MST         Management and Supervision Technology  of work; the catalog number of the second part of the course ends with the number two (as
    MCM        Mass Communication  ENG 102).  Granting credit in these courses is not necessarily dependent upon completing
 MTH  Mathematics  the sequence.  However, to satisfy requirements in such subjects, it is generally necessary
    MUL, MUP, MUS   Music  to take the continuation course.
    OAD         Office Management
 ORI  Orientation  Courses numbered 080 through 098 are institutional credit courses (developmental courses).
    PHS         Physical Science  These courses are not designed to transfer and do not count toward graduation.  Courses
 PHY  Physics  numbered 100 through 199 are primarily for freshmen; courses numbered 200 through 299
    POL         Political Science  are primarily for sophomores.  Courses requiring no prerequisite are open to all students
 PSY  Psychology  regardless of the course number.
    PTA         Physical Therapy Assistant
 RDG  Reading  Prerequisite and/or co-requisite requirements of courses are listed with the course description
 SOC  Sociology  in this section of the catalog.  It is the responsibility of the student to know these requirements
 SPA  Spanish  and follow them when registering.  Students must successfully complete the prerequisite
 SPH  Speech  before they are allowed to enter the next course.  At the end of the term, students who have
    THR         Theatre Arts  pre-registered for a course but did not pass the prerequisite will be removed from the class
        roll of the pre-registered course.  The appropriate dean must approve any waiver of these
 Health Sciences Courses  requirements.
