My Trip to Malaysia visited Ubud too which was quite a scenic place with lots of green
uring my summer holidays, I went to Malaysia with
my family for a week. On the first day, we went
to Langkawi islands. We went for a mangrove tour
Dand visited the Underwater World making it a very
busy day. On the second day, we swam on the beach which
was followed by a mall visit. On day three, we took a tour of
the city of Kuala lumpur which included visits to the King’s
palace, the bird park, the insect garden, and many more places.
In the following days, we enjoyed going to various theme parks
and beautiful gardens. We had an amazing time at Genting Highlands
where I saw the Snow World. I enjoyed my holiday in Malaysia.

Beautiful Bali
I his summer, my parents gave me a surprise and took me
went to Bali with my sister and parents during the summer
vacation. Bali is an island in Indonesia and is known for its
picturesque beaches and delicious food. As we landed and reached
our hotel, we were greeted with a lovely local dance performed
by dancers in Balinese costumes. They also welcomed us with some
frangipani flowers. I had started loving Bali already! Many days of
my vacation were spent on the Kuta beach in Bali. I jumped over and
under the waves and swam as the waves came towards me. I was glad
that I knew how to swim! I was accompanied by my father into the
sea and we both jumped higher and higher with the waves every day.
I also saw many people surfing on the high waves and wished that I
would learn surfing one day! The beach was very pretty and very clean.
The water was clear and blue. I collected shells, played football, built a
castle and basked in the sun. I saw the sunset one day too. The whole
sky changed colour and it looked as if someone had painted it with
orange paint. I also saw the horizon and could see ships disappearing
over the horizon...that happened because the earth is round. I enjoyed
the food in Bali a lot. I ate new mouth watering dishes like Nasi
Goreng, Chicken Satay, Red Snapper, mussels etc. The meal I loved the
most was at the Jimbaran beach that is known for its seafood barbeque.
The fruits in Bali are also very interesting. I had watermelon which was
yellow in colour, juicy pineapple, clusters of litchi and red dragon fruit.
The peanuts were crisp and salty. I enjoyed my Bali vacation a lot and
would love to go back one day to see other parts of the island and do
more things.

his year, during our summer break, I went to Bali with my
family and cousins. We stayed in a beautiful resort away
from the town. The weather was warm and sunny. The hotel
Thad eight lagoons and swimming pools with beautiful blue
water. One of the pools had a huge water slide too. I had a lot of fun
splashing water around. We went to Nusa Dua beach for water sports.
The glass boat ride and sea walking were wonderful experiences. We

trees and plants. Balinese people love art so they make different types
of art such as paintings, sculptures, and woodcarving. There were a lot
of stores selling colourful wooden artwork, which was made by local
artists. There, we saw many temples and rice fields too .The people
were very friendly and courteous. They spoke the local languages,
Balinese and Indonesian, which I could not understand, but they also
spoke broken English. Bali has one main religion, Balinese Hinduism,
which 93.8% of the people follow and other minor religions such as
Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam. Bali also has many dances such as
the pendet, which is a religious dance, legong, which is a dance for
entertainment, baris, which is a war dance, and topeng, which is a
mask dance. My vacation to Bali was the best vacation for me because
it was unique.

My Visit to the Historic Ruins of Pompeii
expectations, proved to be a paradise for children with pastas,
to Italy. The trip was overwhelming and Italy, much to my
Tpizzas and gelatos everywhere. The best part of my holiday
was a visit to the historic city of Pompeii. My father loves history of
ancient civilizations and always wanted to see this city and thanks to
him I was introduced to the sad but amazing history of this city.
Pompeii is a city in the South western coast of Italy, along the
beautiful shores of the Mediterranean Sea and near the Mount Vesuvius.
In Ancient Rome, Pompeii was a prosperous city bustling with small
businesses, traders, warriors and common folk but on a fine busy day in
79A.D. the whole city was destroyed because of a terrible volcano and
all its people died due to the poisonous gas and rain of pebbles which
came out with lava. The volcano then buried the whole city under
layers of ash which preserved the city ruins over the ages. The city
was lost until 1748 when it was found by a Spanish engineer and then
uncovered slowly in many stages by many historians.
I was astonished to see how well planned the city was in the early
times with roads, lavish public baths, canals, theatres, gymnasiums,
temples, bakeries and houses of people of various walks of life. The
streets were planned in straight lines with well-defined areas for carts
and pedestrians. One could even see blockades made by rocks in the
middle of roads to block traffic and withered edges on pebbles scrapped
by cart wheels. The remains of statues of early Roam gods in bronze,
wood and stone showed that the people believed in many gods and
they were good craftsmen. The houses of the poor had one or two
rooms with a place for an oven however the houses of traders were
lavish with paintings or Roman and Greek mythology on walls, mosaic
work depicting stories on floors and walls, courtyards and gardens
with a number of rooms including granaries and stores where one can
still see clay pots, wine and oil bottles and other utensils of storage.
The Temple of Isis is still virtually untouched with a central place of
