My First Job
I Mountain. Our teacher, Kuljeet Sir was lot of fun and made us learn many
went to Mcleodganj in Himachal Pradesh with my family. While we
were there, I visited a beautiful shop selling Buddhist paintings and
thankhas. It is owned by a nice woman who I called Marlen Aunty.
I helped her clean all the things on display and when customers
came, I greeted them. I helped Marlen Aunty to show them what they
liked. I worked hard and became a shopkeeper for a day. I will never
forget this special day!

am a budding inventor. I like to play with electronics. Sometimes,
I use wires and LEDs from my old toys to create small electronic
gadgets. I want to create a toy drone (an unmanned airplane). For
this,
I I have started learning Arduino (electronics board) from my
father. I also learn Arduino by watching YouTube videos.

his summer vacation, I got selected for the India Kids Fashion
Week-2016 organized in Delhi. There was a brief grooming
session, followed by a question answer round, which had
Tcelebrity judges who have represented India in various
international contests. I passed all these rounds and got selected to
walk the ramp for a designer of international repute. I was very excited
and happy to participate in it. I received a lot of praise from everyone.

he joker in a circus show plays an important role. He
entertains people by making funny gestures and remarks. His
appearance is very funny. He paints his face and puts on a
Tmulti-coloured dress. He also puts on a strange-looking cap.
The spectators begin to laugh as soon as the joker enters the ring. They
enjoy his antics and remarks about the other actors. He looks a foolish
person but actually he is a skilled artiste. He can imitate the actions of
other people successfully. Everyone gets a pleasant surprise when the
joker starts dancing on a rope or a wire. Sometimes, he also rides a
galloping horse. The joker appears during the interval between the acts
and makes the spectators laugh heartily.

My Summer Holidays
y summer holidays were great fun. I went to Musoorie
with my cousins and grandparents. The weather there was
very pleasant. I played with my cousins day and night. I
Mdid a lot of my favourite activity which is drawing. I love
to design dresses and make games. I made a doll house and spent time
playing with my mom and little brother.

new friends. The name of our play was Shut up, Please and The Chocolate
I also took part in a theatre programme in which I met people and made
new things. He improved our listening skills and voice intonation which
helped me become confident on the stage. The final performance was at
very proud of me. I loved my holidays and can’t wait for them to come
the Akshara Theatre. My parents came to watch my performance and were
again. The best things about summer holidays are I learn new things and
also just be myself.

n April, I got a circular from my art teacher
that I had been selected to participate in an
interschool jewellery making competition to
Ibe held at D.P.S. Vasant Kunj. At first I was
surprised, but felt glad since jewellery had to be
made by quilling which I had learnt a little bit
from my mother. That day onwards, we started
planning for the competition. Many factors such
as design, colour combination and presentation
had to be kept in mind since the participants
were to be graded on the basis of assembling,
neatness, and presentation. My mother and I met
my art teachers and decided the final colour and
design of the jewellery set. The design that caught
everybody’s eye was an owl motif. We made owl
earrings and a multi coloured choker piece for
the neck with an owl pendant. All this was to be
accompanied by a cute owl ring. I had to take the
quilled pieces from the home itself and assemble
them at the host school.
The much awaited day came. I did my best and everybody praised
me for my jewellery set. One teacher at D.P.S even asked me to finish it
quickly so that she could try wearing it. I was a little disappointed when
my design did not win any prize but later was thrilled to find out that our
school had bagged the trophy for best overall performance. Participating in
this competition was truly a learning experience for me.

uring the summer vacation, I had gone to my Nani’s house.
I was getting bored so I thought of climbing a tree in the
backyard. When I reached atop the banyan tree, I discovered
Dmany new things around me. An idea of building a tree house
came to my mind. With the help of some people, my tree house was ready.
I thought for a while and realized that one thing was missing - a ladder.
My friends and I quickly made a ladder out of a rope. Now, it was time
to decorate the tree house. I laid a small carpet so that I could relax. My
pet cat followed me. I took up some books and snacks. Lastly, I took my
music system also with me. I became very happy because I was very busy.
Overall, it was a great experience.
