25 I have been young and now am old; and Chapter 37
I have not seen the just forsaken, nor his seed
seeking bread. A psalm for David, for a remembrance of the
26 He sheweth mercy, and lendeth all the day sabbath.
long; and his seed shall be in blessing. 2 Rebuke me not, O Lord, in thy indignation;
27 Decline from evil and do good, and dwell nor chastise me in thy wrath.
for ever and ever. 3 For thy arrows are fastened in me: and thy

steps shall not be supplanted. 7 I am bcome miserable, and am bowed down
32 The wicked watcheth the just man, and even to the end: I walked sorrowfull all the day
seeketh to put him to death, long.
33 But the Lord will not leave him in his 8 For my loins are filled with illusions; and
hands; nor condemn him when he shall be there isno health in my flesh.

34 Expect the Lord and keep his way: and roared with the groaning of my heart.
he will exalt thee to inherit the land: when the 10 Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my
sinners shall perish thou shalt see. groaning is not hidden from thee.
35 I have seen the wicked highly exalted, and 11 My heart is troubled, my strength hath left
lifted ukp like the cedars of Libanus. me, and the light of my eyes itself is not with me.
36 And I passed by, and lo, he was not: and I 12 My friends and my neighbours have drawn
sought him and his place was not found. near, and stood against me. And they that were
37 Keep innocence, and behold justice: for near me stood afar off:
there are remnants for the peaceable man. 13 And they that sought my soul used vio-
38 But the unjust shall be destroyed to gether: lence. And they that sought evils to me spoke

39 But the salvation of the just is from the 14 But I, as a deaf man, heard not: and as a
