at a Springfield
success story
The CMA’s regional event at member shop Cabinet
Concepts by Design in Springfield, MO, was a big success.
The June 22 educational event featured forklift training and
a tour of the shop. The classroom portion of the forklift
training was a "train the trainer" session so attendees could
go back to their shops to train the rest of their employees.
The instructor provided a basic overview of the forklift and
how it operates; attendees will do the "hands-on" portion of
the certification process at their own facilities.
Cabinet Concepts by Design was created by Matt and
Shelley Wehner in November 2007, when the housing
market was in decline, remodeling was down, and the
market collapse of 2008 was just over the horizon. In
the midst of this, the Wehners did the improbable and new level, growing their business at a steady clip. They
purchased a small cabinet shop. now occupy a 30,000-square-foot facility and have 32
