nized by their peers. The Wood Diamond awards program also
provides another avenue for fulfilling the CMA mission of sharing THE 2019 BEST OF OVERALL AWARD GOES TO:
one’s experiences and ideas with other members to promote COVENANT MILLWORK
success and professionalism in the woodworking business. – LOUISVILLE, GA –
As members view the work and accomplishments of their peers,
ideas are exchanged and the flow of information continues. “The
Wood Diamond Awards program is an exceptional opportunity
to recognize the unique talents of its members,” says CMA
member Ken Kumph of Premier Builders in Georgetown, MA.
As always, CMA members who had not submitted entries for the
awards lent their professional expertise to the judging process.
First-place winners are awarded a customized plaque declaring
their excellence in their respective category.
A FEW NOTES ABOUT THIS YEAR’S AWARDS:
• The submissions were predominantly residential (90 Covenant Millwork
percent) vs. commercial, yet the “Best of, Best Overall”
winner was a commercial project.
• In the kitchen category, nearly 80 percent of the
submissions were frameless cabinet construction, which is
consistent with overall industry trends.
• The variety of submissions within the residential category
confirms that cabinetry continues to extend to every room
in the home.
