provides news in Arabic and English.

The Gulf Times is a daily newspaper that was founded in 1978 as the first English newspaper in Qatar.
The newspaper comprises several sections: editorial, analysis, news, economy, sports, library and
archives, technical and local reporters. Currently, a Gulf Times newspaper is 40 pages, broadsheet, with
a separate monthly lifestyle magazine, called Society.

The Peninsula is an English language daily published from Doha. The newspaper provides extensive
news coverage, incisive analyses and trenchant commentary from around the world, but with firm roots
and primary focus on life in Qatar.
QATAR TRIBUNE

Launched in 2006, Qatar Tribune is an English language newspaper published in Doha, Qatar with local
and international coverage. The newspaper is sub-divided into five sections: Main (which features latest
local and international happenings), Nation, Business, Sports, and a section entitled "Chillout".

Al Arab was the first Arabic daily in the independent State of Qatar. It was printed between 1972 and
1995 and was relaunched on 18 November 2007 as an e-newspaper. Al Arab, both in its first and second
periods, has had a relatively independent political stance.

Al Raya is an Arabic daily newspaper with a relatively pro-government stance. Al Raya covers news
about the receptions and activities of the ruling family, as well as about official events. In addition, the
daily has large supplements on sports and business.

AL-WATAN

Al-Watan is an independent political daily in the Arabic language, published by Qatar’s oldest media and
