The problem...

Thermogroup were set the
challenge to come up with a
heating solution for the galley
kitchen and staff areas on one of
the largest north sea oil rigs.

Whilst safety is paramount in
this hostile environment, other
key considerations such as crew
comfort and power consumption
played a major part.
The system had to be laid on a
fireproof aluminium deck, under a
resin floor and provide enough heat
to dry floors quickly reducing slip
risk, and provide increased comfort.
