Introduction
The Technology Committee has met regularly over the 2014/2015 school year with the

purpose of generating this Technology Plan. During the development of this plan we have
reviewed the use of technology across the Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions and
Administration. We have also evaluated the impact technology is having on student learning,
teaching, and communication throughout The Christian Academy and among its stakeholders.
TCA implemented several technology initiatives over the course of the previous Technology
Plan that have had a positive impact on student growth. It also put into place specific programs
that are a benefit to the overall educational goals of TCA. This new plan will seek to build on
those successes but also address areas of weakness and potential growth. We will build on what
is presently in place but continue to look to the future to determine which educational technology
trends can positively impact TCA’s learning goals.

Vision Statement

The goal of The Christian Academy's technology plan is to develop and organize the
means by which the school can most effectively use technology to enrich student, faculty, and
staff learning and productivity, to enhance technological use in the classroom, and to use
technology as a tool to advance institutional standards, while simultaneously being sympathetic
to cost and quality of technological equipment. All of this will be done according to the classical
philosophy of Christian education that we uphold.

TCA Technology Plan Objectives

The objectives section of the Technology Plan will be broken down by division to focus
on learning goals specific to those students. The Technology Plan will also involve
administrative technology goals as well as areas the Technology Committee can research going
forward. Each category is broken down into two sections, the first is a general focus of the
overall objectives in that category and the second section is the plan and process for meeting the
objectives.
