The Log House is open once a month on Sundays from May
through October. This log house is the oldest log structure in
Cook County that is still in use. Most likely built in 1837 by
early settlers in the area, it is also distinguished as the only
home in the area to be continuously occupied for nearly
165 years.
Schram Memorial Chapel

This historic nondenominational chapel served as a house of
worship for thousands of servicemen and woman passing
through the former Naval Air Station. The building was
moved from its original location and painstakingly restored
by the Village of Glenview and Kimball Hill Builders. Now
owned by the Glenview Park District, it is available for groups,
individuals and organizations.

The Historic Engine House is a beautifully restored building
with a reference library for public use. The Fire Department
exhibit includes a reconstructed 1800s Ladder Truck, a
newly refurbished 1860s Rumsley Hand Pumper, 1800s
Hose Cart, 1920s Chemical Tank, an original 1880s dress
hat, numerous nozzles, and much more. The second floor is
an open space appropriate for school group programs,
private rentals, meetings, and traveling exhibits.
