说起Erik的艺术才华,但凡观摩过他的作品的人无不赞叹不已,然而这孩子
特别谦虚,他在谈到自己的画作时还略微有些不好意思。他说,“As a young
student, I have not quite found my own voice as an artist. As a result, my pieces
consist of projects that I create to practice different skills, but nevertheless
they still have underlying goals and fit a theme. The goals of these pieces
are not just to help my own learning but they also attempt to stimulate the
observer in different ways. They try to help the viewer see and appreciate
aspects of the world in a different light. The theme of my work is not very
abstract, but rather it mostly explores reality and the different parts of it such
as light, color, movement, and shapes. These pieces span multiple mediums
such as ink, colored pencil, watercolor and oil paint and they depict different
subjects.” 拿起笔的时候,他又特别严谨,胸有成竹;丝丝相扣,一丝不乱。不浮
躁,不骄傲,踏踏实实地努力,又有巧思妙想融入创作,这就是Erik,他的艺术潜
力不可限量。
