NHRPA PRESIDENTS MESSAGE NHRPA Executive Board
President: Craig Fraley
Greetings NHRPA, Amherst Recreation
I hope this finds everyone well. At this point I think it is safe to say that Spring has President Elect: Matt Casparius
sprung. The grass is looking greener, buds on trees are starting to pop and pollen

counts are making our noses run. With spring on the way, we are heading into
what is most likely our busiest season. With busy seasons comes fun activities, Secretary | Tara Tower
longer days and the time when we get to see everything we have been planning Lincoln Woodstock Recreation
and practicing put into place. Treasurer | Arene Berry
How is your staff hiring going? I think everyone is worried about staff hiring for

the summer. Kids can work at fast food restaurants for a much better salary than
we can offer at our department. In Amherst we have worked really hard to entice Past President | Greg Bisson
younger siblings of our current employees to want to work for us. We have had Exeter Parks & Recreation
success with this and are in a better spot than we thought we were going to
be. We have also been working hard to get potential employees interviewed in a NHRPA Board Members
timely manner, so we don’t lose them to another department or job.
NHRPA has had some great coffee talks and workshops set up this Spring. For Tara Barker
those who attended the Inclusion Workshop/Awards Luncheon. I hope you got as Exeter Recreation
much out of the day as I did. It was a great training that really made us sit and
think about how inclusive our communities are and also start the discussion on Eric Feldbaum
Division of Parks & Recreation
how we can all be better.
The awards luncheon was a great success and I want to congratulate all of the de-

partments who won awards. It was really nice to be able to have the event in per- Jaffrey Recreation
son and to see awards given out to a variety of departments. I want to thank eve-
ryone who made the event so great. Dan Sturgeon
This is my last letter as the NHRPA President. During my time as President, we had Moultonborough Recreation
to deal with a crazy shift in what NHRPA could offer to the membership. I really
think that everyone stepped up and the association was a focal point in getting all
of us through the Pandemic. The Coffee Talks were a hit and had more participa-
tion than some of our in-person workshops. Kerry was instrumental in keeping “You can discover
the website current with the latest COVID information and the Executive Board
and all of the committees did a phenomenal job of keeping us up to date on the more about a person
newest guidelines and rules. We knew we were going to have to dip into our sav- in an hour of play
ings as we worked through things, but I feel very optimistic that NHRPA will
bounce back stronger than ever. I want to thank everyone for their hard work and than in a year of
dedication to NHRPA. The challenges we all experienced are hopefully behind us
now and things are getting back to normal. Good Luck to President Elect Matt conversation .”
Casparius. I know Matt will be a great President.
