PlayHouse Programs
The Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum provides children with the tools and inspiration they need to be explorers and
creators of the world. PlayHouse programs support the museum’s mission by encouraging children and families to explore
new things, and to create in an open-ended, innovative way. PlayHouse programs are described below. For specific dates
and details please visit www.peoriaplayhouse.org, or call or stop by the museum to request a full program brochure.
Tot Time “We love Tot Time
During this program for children up to 3 years of age and their grown-ups, children and my daughter
develop language, small motor skills, and social skills while engaging with stories, sings the hello and
music, and hands-on exploration. Tot Time occurs on Wednesdays at 10 am.
Add a Tot Time program to your PlayHouse visit for just $1 per child. goodbye songs all
the time!”
Celebrate Peoria
Join us to explore and celebrate the many cultures that make up the dynamic fabric of Central Illinois.
Each Celebrate Peoria program highlights a holiday and a community, and includes performances, art projects,
food, and more! Celebrate Peoria is supported by the Community Foundation of Central Illinois. These programs
are free with museum admission or membership.

Family Workshops
We invite children ages 3-10 years of age, and grown-ups of any age, to join us in exploration and
hands-on making. Family workshops are offered on selected Saturday afternoons from 1-3 pm.
• February 11: Object Bots • April 8: Puppet Theater
• March 4: Birdhouse Basics • May 6: Make Your Own Monster
Registration is required for Family Workshops. One adult per family is required to attend, at regular admission
rates. Rates for children are as follows: $10 for first child and $5 per additional child for members; $15 for the first
child and $10 per additional child for non-members. Registration is due the Wednesday prior to the workshop.
Kid Workshops
These workshops engage children ages 8-14 years old in
creative thinking and hands-on making, allowing parents to
enroll their older child in this program while exploring the
Museum with younger children. Offered on selected Saturday afternoons from 1-3 pm.

Registration is required for Kid Workshops. Price: $8 for members/$12 non-members.
Fee includes museum admission.
Adult Maker Nights
On selected Saturday evenings, from 7-10 pm, we invite adults to invent, innovate and build. Led by local engineers, artists, and makers,
participants enjoy food, wine, and beer while they work together to find new
ways to meet the evening’s challenge.
