GIVE THE ‘GIFT OF LIFE’ THIS CHRISTMAS… FROM MY DESK
By Monika Biernacki OAM
Dear Readers,
Gosh the year has flown and Christmas is almost
here. Look at cute Silver decked out as one of Monika is
Santa’s reindeer helpers on our front cover. He is pictured with
letting us know mature dogs like him still have so Arrow (now
much love to give. Silver and his friends have been adopted)
busy dispatching calendars for Christmas. Have
you purchased yours? … And perhaps got a few
gift vouchers for those who have everything and
are hard to buy for? These gifts keep on giving and
help the animals in need.
Have you read those touching poems, those
wishes from the dogs to Santa? Corinne has
matched the poems and the dogs so beautifully.
It reminds us of the real meaning of Christmas. If
you have some spare time over the festive season
to share some Christmas spirit with some lonely Monika with
dogs, you will come away feeling you have done Soldier
something good.
Our postcard from Lopez is just so uplifting, to know
that so many of his sponsor dogs have found “ I want to take this opportunity to thank all our

In Roland’s compilation we feature Caroline our
volunteer groomer who has been helping us since 2003.
It has been such amazing devotion and love and she
continues to help – no thought of any long service leave!
Kayla spotlights Theodore, a beautiful old gent who is so
gentle and loving and even enjoys the company of kids.
We received a postcard from Bella, now 17yo who was
rescued as a mature 13yo. This little girl still looks as
pretty as picture and does not appear to have aged.
See photo of her at left.
