Meet DoggieRescue’s new Cat Foster Care Co–Ordinater, Deb Rouse: Deb has been
volunteering for cat rescues for years, starting at Peggy Brown's (Manly Warringah Pittwater
branch of AWL) and after Peggy retired, volunteering at Ingleside. We feel lucky and proud to
have Deb on board, especially due to her experience and ongoing involvement in helping cats
from death row in council pounds. Deb is working on creating a network of cat/kitten foster
carers, located on the Northern Beaches. She will be acting as the adoption officer for all her
foster carers, adopting cats out from foster carers’ homes in the area, and helping Doggie
Rescue to place cats at vet clinics around Sydney which has so far been a great success.
