“ There is a desperate mother cat with 3 kittens at a pound and if we don’t find a foster home
for one of the adults then we can’t take them, there is just no room….” Luci - DR Welfare Officer

Yes Jessica, we as a rescue shelter know how you feel.
It is COMPLETELY and OVERWHELMINGLY tragic.

Just in the last few days DoggieRescue has saved a
very pregnant cat (Toffee) and 3 little only 2 week old
kittens (that are being bottle fed by Dee at The Cottage
Animal Hospital – Panda, Koala and Turtle) on Friday
from Hawkesbury. We also rescued a 6 week old kitten
Sylvester from Renbury Farm who has cat flu. We are
rescuing a 4 month old kitten (that no one wants
because he is too old) from Renbury Farm tomorrow.
His name is Isaac ( see photo at right ).

There is a mum with 3 kittens at Fairford Rd if we don’t Isaac
find a foster home for one of the adults at The Cottage
Animal Hospital we can’t take them…Also Mosman Vet
is most likely taking 7 kittens from Fairford Rd through
DR. With the kitten season here it will only get worse. If
only we could find foster carers for our adult cats while
they wait for a home then we would have room to save
more of these desperate cats and vulnerable kittens.

                                                                        CAN

                                                                        YOU

                                                                        HELP

                                                                        US?

Toffee, recently rescued very pregnant Mum has an ultra sound to check
on the health of her bubs at The Cottage Animal Hospital.

Christmas is fast approaching and with the cat breeding season in full swing pounds are full and desperate cats and
tiny kittens have to be moved from the pounds or they will be euthanized. It is especially important for the adult cats
( mother cats whose kittens are now adopted ) to go to a foster home and so free up their cages for new arrivals.

See page 52 and see the available older kittens and adult cats in need of adoption or foster care at DoggieRescue.
