EQUIPMENT CARPET CARE

               Carpet care

Both routine and deep cleaning are essential for keeping carpets looking their best. Extraction or encapsulation is a great way to pick up
the dirt, germs and spores that routine vacuuming and manual cleaning leave behind.

How to choose the right machine

Machine uses pressure to apply cleaning solution while simultaneously vacuuming up dislodged dirt
and excess solution. External cleaning tools connect to the extractor with a hose. Tank size and water
Canister or pressure may vary from one model to the next. Some models have adjustable water pressure for extra
rotary jet extractor versatility. Quality of accessories can influence ease of use and cleaning ability. Canister extractors are
generally lighter than self-contained/with brush extractors. Consider size and shape of accessories,
which can help to increase versatility.

Cleaning solution is pumped from solution tank to the brush, which agitates the carpet to create a
mechanical cleaning action in addition to water pressure. Vacuum shoe collects dirty water and sends
Self-contained/with it to the recovery tank. Machines are fully autonomous; no hoses or other accessories to fuss with.
brush extractors However, an optional hose can be fitted on most machines for cleaning upholstery or better reaching
corners and other hard-to-reach spots. Brush lifts pile of carpet for quick and effective cleaning,
making these machines ideal for larger surfaces. Brush and tank sizes vary. Some models offer
encapsulation as well. Choice of single or dual brushes for more effective mechanical action.

“Encapping” is an ultra-low moisture type of cleaning that uses polymers to encapsulate and

appearance of carpets. Compared to extraction, encapping typically requires less user training and
                                           floors can be used sooner.
