Achievements
Congratulations to Dr. Christine Cserti for receiving the national Canadian Society
for Transfusion Medicine (CSTM) Ortho Award. Dr. Cserti was part of fiercely dedi-
cated teams on the complex digitization of transfusion (from paper to EPIC) – a true
labour of love with many special players. With transfusion being the most commonly
performed procedure in healthcare, and also one of the most complex interventions
from a logistics and immunodiagnostics perspective, this was a big leap with the
benefits of extreme traceability and downstream analytics. Click here for details.
Suzanne Rowland, Nurse Practitioner for receiving the Gerald Kirsh Humanitarian
Award. Suzanne demonstrates safety, compassion, teamwork, integrity, and stew-
ardship. The Kirsh family collaborated with Princess Margaret 22 years ago to launch
these awards as a tribute to the exceptional care their husband and father, Gerald
Kirsh, received at The Princess Margaret.
