Permatex Free Training Clinics

Permatex has organized a dedicated team of trainers who
®
are committed to educating customers and end-users. This unmatched
commitment provides free product training clinics that are attended by
thousands of automotive technicians, installers, and vocational-technical
students each year. These clinics teach people in the automotive repair
industry how Permatex products can help them save time, reduce
®
costs, and increase repair reliability. They learn the proper use of
products, repair procedures, and best practices, and receive informative
reference materials and free samples. Since 1999, Permatex Sales
Representatives have successfully trained more than 100,000 technicians!

Permatex has expanded its training program to now include
a focus on student technicians studying at the 1,500+
accredited National Automotive Technicians Education
Foundation (NATEF) schools. As part of this effort, we offer
a 60 minute in-classroom introductory session on the proper
use of Permatex gasket makers, threadlockers, and thread
sealants by knowledgeable and highly trained full-time
Technician Advisors. This is not a sales presentation,
but rather a live, hands-on training with demonstrations
and specific product applications.

After the presentation, a variety of application size products,
charts, and handouts are given to the students. There is also
an instructor’s kit with additional products, a lesson plan,
and a DVD for the classes’ future reference. These are gifts
for the instructor and the students as our way of saying
“thank you” for their time and attention. Note, this program
also provides credit toward the instructor’s continuing
automotive service education requirements.
Time being a very limited resource, and travel a major expense, we
request combining similar classes to minimize costs, and maximize
our efforts. Our experience has identified the best class size to be
30-50 students. We at Permatex understand the value of training.
While most manufacturers have eliminated no-charge training programs,
our company is expanding the effort to train the future ASE certified
technicians of tomorrow and to assure the flow of future professional
automotive service technicians having been exposed and trained in the
proper use of Permatex gasket makers, threadlockers, and thread sealants.
