that it is perfect for us to feel this way in the moment, then
we can never rise above the nagging condition, objectively
examine it, and see the lesson or greater opportunity be-
            ing presented.
so, karma is most definitely related to fate, or destiny,
in the conventional way we understand these terms. The
Master’s sole objective is to reveal to you who you are. The
Master wants you to become your own Master, and like-
wise, the lord wants you to awaken in soul through self
and god realization. This is the overall objective of life,
and so this is our true destiny. Therefore, all life is going
to serve this process, and this defines karma’s relationship
to destiny. Whether we realize it or not, it is our karma
that continually propels us toward the ultimate goals of the
            spiritual life.

1 . Q. I have always struggled with the theory that those
who have great success in life are blessed by god in some
way, and those who don’t are being punished by god. Is
there any truth in this concept that some people are in-
herently good while others are inherently bad, or evil?

               A. oh, what a marvelous question, for it reaches into
the heart of truth. First off, the divine Creator loves each
and every soul equally. What you are really asking about
involves the principle of karma. There are many ways to
approach the topic of good and bad karma, but I would like
to begin by briefly reviewing the origin of the terms “good”
and “bad.” You will not find one thing that is whole in and
of itself beneath the soul plane. all life and all conditions
within the lower planes (physical, astral, causal/mental)
exist in relation to their opposites. This is because of the
division that occurs when the formless one, the sound, de-
scends and is diluted into form and light. This is where we
