KARMA – The law of cause and effect, or action and reaction;
the power that drives reincarnation, entrapping soul in the
cycle of birth and death; a method of remedial training that
serves the maturation of soul; described in the biblical ref-
erences “as you sow, so shall you reap” and “an eye for an eye”;
contemporarily voiced as “what goes around, comes around.”

KUNDALINI – Motor currents; concentration of the prana ener-
gies stored at the base of the spine; associated with the powers
of the elimination and reproductive chakras; chelas leave this
energy untouched.

LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT – see: KARMA; CAUSE AND EFFECT.

LEVELS OF CONSCIOUSNESS – stages of soul’s maturation and
purification experienced as it ascends into its Godhood: the
body chakras, third eye, cosmic consciousness, self realiza-
tion, spiritual realization, and God realization.

LIBERATION – The essential emancipation of consciousness
from the lower bodies; soul is free from the tyranny of the
physical, astral, causal, and mental bodies.

LIFE FORCE – universally, the Essence of shabda; individ-
ually, the essence of soul.

LIGHT – one of the two attributes of anami Purush (light and
sound) used to create and sustain all life; unitary, undif-
ferentiated essence of spirit as it descends through anami’s
creation before reaching the mental plane; upon reaching the
mental plane, light is diffused and divided into the streams
