Seafarers from all over the world have
sailed through the waters of Malay
Archipelago for centuries. Some of
their vessels succumbed to inclement
weather, leaks, or attack and ended
at the bottom of the sea.
THE IBNU SARDAN
STONE
The stone is discovered in the Bujang
Valley, Kedah. It has a carved
inscription “Ibnu Sardan 213” in Jawi. It
is among the evidence for the presence
of Islamic Civilization in the Bujang
Valley.
DOOR FRAME
This door frame is part of a construction
structure that was erected some time ago.
It was one of the artifacts that was
discovered during excavation works at
Sungai Mas, Kuala Muda, Kedah. Proved
the existence of an ancient civilization in
this area as early as the 7th century AD.
