Tau Girl Wins Award at U

. LORRAINE M. CROUCH ( T ) , Minneapolis
senior, was awarded the Dean E . M. Free-
man medal for student leadership on the cam-
pus of the College of Agriculture, I limn Kco-
nonii's and Forestry, at the annual recognition
assembly Wednesday night in the auditorium
a t University Farm.

The medal, one of the most coveted honor
awards in the college, was established three
years ago at the suggestion of the forestry
class which graduates this year. Dean Free-
man, in announcing the awards at the assem-
bly, paid high tribute to Miss Crouch as a stu-
dent leader of a type "that usually escapes
recognition in the glare of publicity that
shines on the more spectacular events of stu-
dent life."    _
