Beth Boynton Phelps wrote this poem for an amateur theatrical night t

recited it. Try it on your next rushees. s

We got our rushee way up in the air s
And should we not forsake her, o

We park up in a cloud and keep her s

There is nothing there to stop her, a
So we simply up and drop her. f
There is really nothing else for us to do.

            And when rushing season's over
And we're sitting there in clover
Counting up the treasures we have won,
I'll be writing in the sky,
