7. In order to visualize the fiction book sale from 2009 to 2011, select the desired
columns. On the Insert tab select Line Chart option. Select your desired chart style
from the drop-down menu.

1.8. Modifying and Formatting Chart Design
Chart Design
To modify the charts, select the chart and go to Design. Following modification options
are available:
Chart layouts
Excel allows you to add chart elements—such as chart titles, legends, and data
labels—to make your chart easier to read. To add a chart element, click the Add Chart
Element command on the Design tab, then choose the desired element from the drop-
down menu. The Quick Layout option allows you to select a predefined chart style.
