F, Q 'couers'—a common error. It is 'plighted cun-
ning' not Time that covers faults. Q reads 'Who couers
faults, at last shame them derides'—the reporter not
realizing that 'Time' is the antecedent of 'who'. The
F collator correcting 'shame them' to 'with shame'
overlooked the MS. 'covert', if indeed he did not take
it for an error.
