Serena Williams Biography
We all know that Serena Jameka Williams is an American
professional tennis player and ranked No.1 in the world, but what
we all don’t know is what her life was before she became a
professional tennis player.
It all began when Serena Jameka
Williams was born on 26th
September 1981, in Saginaw,
Michigan. The youngest of Richard
and Oracene Williams's five
daughters, Serena Williams, along
with her sister Venus, grew up to
become one of the world’s greatest
tennis champions.
Serena's father—a former tenant
from Louisiana wanting to see his
two youngest girls succeed—used
what he'd gleaned from tennis books
and videos to guide Serena and
Venus on how to play tennis. At the
age of 3, practicing on a court not far
from the family's new Compton,
California home, Serena suffered the
harshness of daily two-hour
practices from her father.
