SAMUI+ MODEL :
STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES

“SAMUI + MODEL” is an initiative programme to welcome tourists who are fully
vaccinated to Amphoe Ko Samui, aiming to build confidence and hygiene safety in local
tourism. The following is the projected itinerary:

1. Day 0 – WAITING: Tourists will get the first COVID-19 test (RT – PCR Method) and
need to wait for the test result in their hotel room.

2. Day 1 – 3 QUARANTINE AREA: After receiving the negative result, tourists can leave
their hotel room and use hotel facilities, relax or join activities within designated
areas in the hotel only.

3. Day 4 – 7 SEALED ROUTE: Tourists can travel within designated routes and on tour
programmes on Ko Samui only. Tourists will need to have the second real time
RT – PCR test on Day 6 - 7.

4. Day 8 – 14 MONITORING AND CONTROL: After receiving the negative result of the
second test, tourists can travel within Ko Samui, Ko Pha-ngan and Ko Tao. Their route
will be tracked and monitored by using the IT platform or applications as prescribed
by the government. The third real time RT – PCR test will be conducted on Day 12-13.
If the test result is negative on Day 15, tourists can travel anywhere in Thailand.

Tourists are allowed to travel within the area of
Ko Samui, Ko Pha-ngan, and Ko Tao without
quarantine, but with some restrictions.

Note :
* Route Model is set for the fully vaccinated tourists who fly to Samui on a direct international flight or
an international flight via Bangkok to Ko Samui, or other connections with approved sealed flights to
Ko Samui.
** Travel conditions can be adjusted or changed according to the outbreak of COVID-19 situation and the
situation from their countries of origin according to CCSA’s notification. If tourists fail to stay at least 14 days
in the designated area, they will have to leave the Kingdom.
