Fireworks from London’s new Olympic Stadium light up
the sky on the opening night of the Paralympic Games.
The stadium, located in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
in Stratford, had hosted events at the Olympics the
previous month. The London Paralympics were one
of the most successful ever, with record crowds
and television viewing figures.
