Give carving a try. Even a small amount
of time spent carving will deepen your
knowledge of blade geometry and knife
handling. By the way, carving knives and
edged tools are not toys, and can be very
sharp. Consequently, keep some bandages
nearby. Also, make sure you can drive one
handed. You know, just in case.
