Lucy Ripper stumbles across an
exhibition of classic Star Wars merch
T
orquay Museum in Devon, England, recently
held an exhibition of Star Wars merchandise
called May The Toys Be With You.
I visited with my mum and dad in August this
year. We were greeted by a full-size Darth Vader
and a great Boba Fett bust. There were loads of
action figures on display, many in their original
packaging. We spent a shameful amount of time
during our visit trying to work out who one little
green guy was—none of us has seen the trash
compactor monster toy before! Photo credits: Martin Ripper and Carolyn Ripper
The highlight was a huge Battle of Hoth
diorama, complete with AT-AT and AT-ST walkers,
rebel snowspeeders and tauntauns! The exhibition
ran from June to September 2017.
