C-3PO’s timid nature is ill-suited to being in
the fi ring line of the First Order quite so often.

o Star Wars film would be complete without an appearance from C-3PO,
and The Last Jedi is no different, as Anthony Daniels returns once more
to portray the iconic droid. A constant voice of reason throughout the
N Star Wars saga—albeit one that isn’t necessarily listened to—according
to Daniels C-3PO’s role is to act “as a little foil to all the drama that happens,” as well
as to offer some humanity—“which strangely enough coming out of a metal character,
speaks louder than if a human character in the fi lm said it.”

Having been in every Star Wars film since the saga began in 1977, Daniels had no
hesitations about donning the droid costume once again. For the actor, the adoration
