The Morgan Library’s collection, accumulated by
banker Pierpont Morgan, is housed in a magnificent
palazzo-style 1906 building by architects McKim,
Mead & White. Morgan’s son, J. P. Morgan, Jr., made

books, and bindings is on display in a complex that
also includes the Annex building, completed in 1928,
and the brownstone home of J. P. Morgan, Jr.
