                                     This Madonna figure on the
                                  upper floor is the best-preserved
                                    example from Sweden’s early
                                   medieval period. The colourful
                                  wooden sculpture is richly gilded.

        The Gold Collars were found between 1827 and
        1864; the three-ringed collar in a stone quarry in
        eastern Sweden, the five-ringed in a ditch on the
        island of Öland, and the seven-ringed in a mound
