Matryoshki

One happy wooden doll looking at me—
open her up and what do I see?
One becomes two, and two becomes three.
Three becomes four little dolls for me.
Open up the fourth doll and what do I see?
The cutest little, smallest little doll baby.
How many matryoshki
do you see?
What do you see
that is small and what do
you see that is large?
Matryoshki (mah-tree-OH-shkee) are Russian nesting dolls
of different sizes. They are built to fit one inside the other.
