When the homeowners bought this historic house, the structure
consisted of several small isolated rooms. Wilson opened up existing
walls to best reflect the evolution of the home’s use, and the exterior of
the new spaces repeat the existing front roof gable to create a rhythm
of old and new that preserved the character, massing and material
palette of the original home.
