A MAN’S WORLD?
During World War I women at an English workhouse watch
four women firefighters during a drill to ensure they could
perform their duties adequately. During the conflict women
– who at this point still did not have the right to vote –
worked and excelled in a number of different roles
previously not allowed to them.
