Cultural tip You almost never see a Spanish home without
shutters at every window. These are closed at night and often
during the heat of the day in summer. Curtains, where they exist
at all, tend to be more for decoration. Carpets are not popular in
Spanish homes; ceramic tiles or parquet floors with rugs are a
more common flooring solution.
