Simulated pearls are Mallorca’s signature item.
Though expensive, every item comes with a cert
ificate of authenticity. You can buy readymade
jewellery as well as single pearls that you can use

visitors to the Balearics and
wickerwork items are among
the most genuine Balearic
products. The baskets of
various shapes and sizes
are particularly attractive.

island produces its own herb liqueur (hierbas). Adult
visitors to Menorca might like to try these and the
local gin. Connoisseurs will not miss the chance
to sample Mallorcan wines, particularly the best
of them – the red wine from Binissalem, but also
Herb liqueur Almond liqueur white and rosé varieties from the same vineyards. Local red wine
